James De Foe
James De Foe, born and raised in a small town in Florida, found his passion for art and music at an early age. He pursued formal education in both fields, earning degrees in music and engaging in studio instruction in the fine arts. Influenced by the works of classical composers and modern artists, James has developed a unique style that blends traditional techniques with contemporary themes. His journey is marked by continuous exploration and innovation, making him a significant figure in art and music communities. He is a practicing musician and has performed professionally in the United States and Europe. He began work in the visual arts in 1985 by taking studio classes in oil painting at the University of Florida. He later continued studio classes in watercolor, drawing and printmaking in California and Washington. His works tend to be organic in nature, utilizing interlacing forms which many times represent musical phrases in color and in visual form. He has exhibited his works in Washington, Kentucky, Idaho and California.
